Also known as "The Shrew Cache" all stages are at Holliday Lake
State Park. Terrain is overall easy and Difficulty rating is
overall easy. Elevation ranges from 462ft to 569ft for all 4
caches. (By the way, did you know that this park is very close to
the geographical center of Virginia?)
All caches (Shrew 1-3)
are medium sized containers, trade items if you like. You will also
find coordinates for next cache at each stage. Also, each stage has
an activity and a special log book for the activity. Last cache
(Shrew 4) will have Holliday Lake’s special wildlife card for
Geocacher to take, that signifies the end of the
cache.
This
cache was part of the 2010 Virginia State Parks Geocaching Wildlife
Adventure. This series ended on December 15, 2010. However, the
park has taken over this cache so it is still active. Rewards are
no longer available for this cache, but we will be launching the
Virginia State Parks 75th Anniversary Geocaching Adventure in March
