Night Road Traditional Cache

Scottiedogz: Walked past today and this has disappeared. Too difficult to replace as it was specially constructed. Surprised it last as long as it did

Geocache Description:

Cache thrown together on Auchinlay Road for Plodders

This is a single track tarmac road which runs from Dunblane to the B8033 at Kinbuck Bridge. It is a scenic route which is very popular with local walkers, cyclists and runners. It is wheelchair accessible up to the cache as can be reached easily from the road.
There is no parking at the cache. If you want to be a super Plodder then a start from the other side of Dunblane and do the Along the Allanwater Trail in reverse would be just the ticket.

The Auchinlays were crofts dating back to the 16th Century when they were part of the Cromlix estate. There are still small cottages – Auchinlay Holdings.

This cache is fun to do in the DARK.
This road is safe to walk at night but bear in mind that occassional traffic does go along it, so make sure that you are visible to cars at night.
You can hear the river from the road. The darkness seems to intensify sounds. Try and make out whether the river is in spate and rushing over the rapids or a mere trickle.

Please replace the micro nano cache carefully as found
