Into the Dark Ashley Traditional Cache

Scottiedogz: this one has run its time, it was needing replaced as the log was soaking but more of of concern was that the tree had now outgrown its protector where the cache was hidden leaving very little space left for a similar hide. The tree was a lot smaller when we hide it 4 years ago.
As it hadnt been found since summer last year we are not moving it either

For anyone who checks the archive logs the reference to 300ft out - it is sarcasm with a capital S, based on complaints from some cachers that the co-ords were 3ft out on other caches

Geocache Description:

A short walk through a newly planted community woodland. Popular with local dog walkers.
Fun at night.

There is a new housing estate which is built on land where the old Dunblane to Callander railway ran. The property beyond up the wee hill is named Ashley on the OS map.
Part of the planning consent for the new houses included the community woodland for amenity use by locals.

There is an obvious track going up the hill from Grant Drive. From this track take the indistinct track going left up towards the field boundary. The track going the other way leads down to the Auchinlay Road.

GPS reception in the trees near the cache was poor (I only got accuracy of 300ft) but the 'clue' is a 'very' word and should help (but doubt it). If not PAF, 50/50 or ask the audience. Please replace the cache carefully.

Although it is near houses because it is regularly used by dog walkers at night there are no problems with access after dark. A headtorch might be useful and it can get muddy after wet weather.
