Another typical micro hide that is wheelchair accessible
Look ahead of you and to the left and you can see where Route 8 was located before the construction of the Union City Dam. During the late winter and early spring snowmelt and also during times of very heavy rain, the road is under several feet of water.
The road still shows on the maps but it is gated at both ends. During the fall, I've often seen hunters walking on the old road as it's now part of State Game Lands 162.
