A Grizzly Find on the Dunning Pond Trail Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Caches archived for lack of maintenance or response cannot be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Just another little P&G type cache to break-up your journey on Rt. 30. Feel free to take the hike to the pond.

" Primarily a snowmobile route from Rt. 30 to Gilmantown rd. over an old mill road, this walk will lead the hiker through some very wild sections. Little used by snowmobilers these days due to the shortness of the trail. In some areas it is overgrown and hidden by blowdown and beaver flooding making trail finding difficult at times. Note that Dunning pond is rapidly becoming Dunning Swamp. Look for the ruins of an old mill and dam at the outlet of the pond. Beavers have, in recent years, reestabished the pond by rebuilding the dam at the outlet."
