Geocache Description:


The co-ordinates given are for the landmark known as the Crowstone. The inscription on it reads; Port of London Authority This boundary stone known as the crowstone was erected in ABCD to mark the seaward limit of that time of the City of London's jurisdiction over the River Thames. Beside it stood a smaller stone erected by the Lord Mayor of London on EF August ---- which was removed to Priory Park Southend-on-sea in the year -G-H .
