Welcome to The Fabulous Florida Keys :) This is near a beautiful public beach about 2 miles from Overseas Highway. It is an easy Park&Grab in a Lock&Lock Tupperware.
PLEASE USE STEALTH!! MUGGLES ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!
REPLACE THE CACHE EXACTLY AS YOU FOUND IT!!!!!
This cache has been displaced several times by amateur geocachers causing it to be destroyed by weather and stolen by muggles. The city also does occasional landscaping. PLEASE, replace the cache exactly as you found it
The nearby beach was remodeled several years back. There is a modest stretch of beach which has been dredged to allow for swimming. There is a kayak docking area near a look-out pier (no fishing). There is a wonderful park with pavilions for grilling and picnics, a volleyball court, and a "way cool" playground for kids of all ages :) The bathrooms are usually clean and well maintained.
Many visitors to the keys cant help but notice we are surrounded by beautiful sparkling water. Many do not realize it is quite shallow, sometimes only inches deep for hundreds of yards/meters. This makes for quite a few sandbars at low tide and a pesky hazard for inexperienced boat operators.
For the adventurous swimmers, take a swim/walk out to the little island/sandbar (just west of the beach) and you will see a variety of fish, sponges, shells and the occasional starfish. Great place to snorkel and spend the day with friends and family :)

I can not stress enough the importance of replacing the cache EXACTLY as you found it. This cache has been displaced several times by amateur geocachers causing it to be destroyed by weather and stolen by muggles. The city also does occasional landscaping so please please please, replace the cache exactly as you found it :)
