The Geocaching Community of Greater Victoria (GCGV) would like to
welcome all the geocachers arriving on the Norwegian Pearl cruise
ship on July 10th 2010. Your ship comes in to Ogden Point at 6pm!
Most of you have just attended GeoWoodstock VIII so here's your
chance to log some Canadian caches.
The Victoria cruise ship pier is within walking distance of all
types of geocaches - traditionals, multi's, puzzles, webcam's,
earthcaches, virtuals, letterboxes, even a Wherigo. So here's an
event for you to log as well!!
We have created a "Welcome to Victoria!" bookmark on this event
page so you can easily download the 'must do' caches in the
area.
GCGV volunteers will be at the posted coordinates to greet you for
at least 1 hour after disembarkation. Look for the GCGV banner. We
are there to say hello and answer any questions you may have. We'll
also help to direct you to shopping, restaurants and touristy spots
you may want to see. Be sure to sign the GCGV logbook in order to
collect your smiley for this event.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our beautiful city. Be sure to
cache your way to the Inner Harbour, a must-see while on your
caching adventure in Victoria.
