37251: This cache had been live for over 15 years and was part of a fun FTF chain of caches, with each 'first to find' having an opportunity to place the next cache, starting with the next letter of the alphabet in Hampshire. It had been placed here as I love the remote spots in the Forest and wanted others to have the opportunity to navigate 'off piste' to tranquil places such as this. Clearly, it doesn't get as many finders as it used to.
With the recent changes in sensitive land classification within the New Forest, this one had to be moved. As it didn't seem possible to move it elsewhere nearby, I took the opportunity to archive it.
Thanks to all the finders over the years, in particular those who have treated the cache with respect, replaced the log book within the bag (and sealed it up again!) and rehid den the cache as found. Your cooperation has been appreciated in helping to maintain the cache in good condition for others to find. I read every log and this brought enjoyment to me, as a Cache Owner. I don't know if I'll ever hide another cache within the New Forest boundary in the future. But who knows...
Thank you everyone.
