This is a well camoed waterproof match container, hidden at ground level. Before you see the container you will likely see the wire used to extract container. Please be sure to replace container just as you found it.
FTF should have an easy find as there is a Tim's card in a plastic bag below the hide.(Please trash out the bag).

Not being an arborist I really don't know the age of these old oaks but if I could guess I'd say they are 200 plus years. Worth a trip in to see these majestic old fellas. In the spring be prepared for mud and walking around puddles... As it warms up don't forget the bug spray.
