dalemac57: Looks like this gate is finally due for a permanent replacement. A chain link temporary gate has been attached to the previous post, which is still there but the cache is gone and I expect this post not to survive the eventual construction once they pave this gate area, which is long overdue. RIP.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline. This cache was placed at the main trailhead, and is a log only cache. You will need a pen. The park is closed during posted hours. EB Parks curfew is from 10pm to 5am.

In the summertime to escape the heat walking in the hills above Castro Valley, Kenna likes to come down to the Bay to catch a cool breeze along the shore...and to chase the squirrels. So we spend a lotta time here and over at San Leandro Marina, where parking can be sometimes scarce.
