Geocache Description:

South Brother, on the Mid-North Coast, is completely surrounded by, and in fact is, private property - permission to enter is given if sensible. Approximately 500m elevation, it is a bit of challenge to get up, and down.

Park opposite 209 Stewarts River Road(S31º 43.931' E152º 40.151'), go up the driveway, and head left/up the hill as soon as you go through the gate; keep an eye out for the Letterbox Hybrid there.

Aim in on L’il South Bro' then continue up the hill heading past the occasional pink/orange plastic tape that some other kind person has placed to mark the way.
Yes, there is a trig station (Stewart (aka South Brother)) here if you’re interested.

CONGRATULATIONS to gd__ for the FTF

Bring a big stick, insect repellant, and maybe even a machete, as there was a big mess of lantana and raspberry vine around the top. If you’re quick you’ll find a slashed track, but I don’t know how long that will last.

Allow several hours, as you don’t want to rush going down hill; there are many sticks to trip over, and loose rocks to turn the ankle. This was placed to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of geocaching (only to find out that I'm TWO months early).

After completing Mt Royal Run I'm willing to change the difficulty/terrain rating from 2/4 now to 1½/4½; as I previously had no experience with the differences at this end of the scale. I would like to hear from someone who has completed both for an independent opinion though
