The "Soisberg" is an extinct volcano within the "Kuppenrhön" and is located on the border of the counties "Fulda" and "Hersfeld-Rotenburg".
This volcano is part of the mountains "Hessisches Kegelspiel" between the municipalities "Schenklengsfeld" (northwesterly), "Hohenroda" (north-northeasterly) and "Eiterfeld" (southwesterly).
On the southeastern side of this mountain lies the village "Soislieden".
The "Soisberg" was formed approx. 6 million years ago during the period of tertiary.
There is a board with information at the cache-location.
To log this cache you have to do the following tasks:
1. In which geological structure lies the "Soisberg" ("... Mulde")?
2.1. What is the basalt of the "Soisberg" ("O...")?
2.2. What is embedded as bulbs?
2.3. What is the ground mass in which these bulbs are included (four terms)?
3. How many terms of geological formations and structures are in the caption of the illustration of the "Soisberg" (coloured)?
4. Please send me an email with your answers. Make a photo of your GPS-Unit at the top of the tower.
If you want, make a photo of you at the top of the tower (with your GPS-unit).
But don't forget to make a photo!

Der Soisberg ist ein erloschener Vulkan der Kuppenrhön und erhebt sich an der Nahtstelle der Landkreise Hersfeld-Rotenburg und Fulda.
Er ist Teil der Berglandschaft Hessisches Kegelspiel zwischen den Gemeinden Schenklengsfeld im Nordwesten, Hohenroda im Nord-Nordosten, sowie Eiterfeld im Südwesten.
An seiner südöstlichen Bergflanke befindet sich das Dorf Soislieden.
Der Soisberg entstand vor ca. 6 Millionen Jahren im Tertiär.
Vor Ort befindet sich eine Infotafel.
Um diesen Cache zu loggen, erfülle bitte folgende Aufgaben:
1. In welcher geologischen Struktur liegt der Soisberg (... Mulde)?
2.1. Was ist der Soisberg-Basalt (O...)?
2.2. Was schließt dieser als Knollen ein?
2.3. Aus was besteht die Grundmasse, in der diese Knollen eingeschlossen sind (vier Begriffe)?
3. Wieviele Begriffe zu geologischen Formationen und Strukturen stehen in der Legende zum Aufbaubild des Soisberges (farblich gekennzeichnet)?
4. Bitte sendet mir eine Email mit euren Antworten. Macht oben auf dem Turm ein Foto von eurem GPS-Gerät.
