Nina Pearl Traditional Cache

This cache is dedicated to my grandparents, Nina Pearl and Paul Weiser. March 17, 2010 my Great Uncle Bryan was burried. After the funeral I came out to the family farm to wander around and hide this cache.
Across the bridge on the other side of the road was where grandmas house once stood. It was burned two weeks prior to placing this cache. The first finders of this cache will be able to see its skeleton. This place has a thousand good memories for me. My brothers, cousins and I played on this relic of a combine, We learned how to shoot a gun. We played for hours at the creek, helped burn the trash, picked cherries from the row of cherry trees that still give fruit even after being neglected for over 20 years, hunted easter eggs, searched for arrow heads and just got to be kids.
Down creek from here was the first shelter for my ancestors when they came to Kansas. There was a dugout near the creek bank. The next house was the limestome building you see in the field if you look back toward and across the highway from the cache. Before my dad was born the family relocated to the location across the bridge.
My Grandpa served the country during WWII and worked as a farmer the rest of his life, his tractors were old but well cared for. My Grandma sewed for people far and wide and made the best cherry pie you ever tasted.
As our society becomes more and more mobile, I am glad I have such a peacefull place to come back to. Enjoy the area.
