Geocache Description:

You are searching for an ammo can hidden at the end of a rustic trail miles from parking.

The cache is located at the McGregor Smith Scout Reservation and placed for the FGA Revival event. Back in the day this area was used as a canoe base which provided access to the Withlacoochee River, via the Shinn Ditch. After the property was purchased by SWFWMD they blocked off access to the river to keep air boaters off the property.

I guess you could still launch a canoe from here, but it would be a long way to haul a canoe/kayak from the designated parking these days.

There are a couple different ways to approach the cache... you make the call. You can bike or hike to this location.
