Bring Your Water Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

StealthRT: This cache has been retrieved from the field and the log has now been retired. This is the first physical cache I have ever had to archive.

Thanks to the 10% of premium members who favorited this cache. Apologies to the many who never were able to find it in its intended state to make a proper judgment.

Unfortunately after multiple vandalisms, this one has to go. These vandalisms have all clearly been done by cachers who seem to think the design needs to be modified to make this an easy grab for future seekers. It has happened too many times and I’m just not going to fight it anymore. I only wish I had a camera on sight to know the identities of all these super clever cachers so I could consult their vast intelligence for future placements. Make sure I get them right from the get-go.

While it would seem to be a simple set-up, this cache took me hours upon hours to get set up correctly. It also took significant expense. It’s a shame when an ammo can gets ripped off by someone who knows nothing of geocaching and didn’t bother to read the stash note. It’s a whole different level of bummer when fellow cachers purposefully destroy your work because… well, I don’t know the because. I don’t know why these individuals felt the need to “fix” the cache design. I never got a call or an email from any of them telling me why they felt the need to completely change the experience.

No need now, I suppose. The experience, whatever it was whether good, bad, or mediocre, is gone, dead, buried, and archived.

Geocache Description:

An inspired cache by StealthRT.

Water

I recently went out on the trail and failed to bring enough water. I was fatigued, my mouth was dry, and I even got a little dizzy. What really stings was that it was not even close to the first time I went out without enough water. I am a fast learner on many subjects. When it comes to bringing enough water on a long hike, I have been a very slow learner.

This cache was inspired by these experiences. It is a reminder to me to always bring enough water on the trail. So bring your water. On this cache, I would recommend at least a gallon. Don’t leave home without it.
