Entstehung des Lindetals / Formation of the Lindetal


 
Das Lindetal bietet einen Einblick in die von der Eiszeit geschaffene reizvolle Umgebung Neubrandenburgs.
Die Erosionsformen des Lindetals lassen erkennen, dass es nach seiner Eintiefung nicht mehr von den letzten Eisvorstössen "überfahren" wurde.
Erst am Ende der Weichselkaltzeit (Spätglazial vor ca. 13000 bis 11000 Jahren) entstand hier durch die nach Norden abfliessenden grossen Schmelzwassermengen aus dem Raum Cammin / Blankensee, die sich einen Umweg um die härteren Gesteinsschichten suchten, die tief eingeschnittenen Täler.
So entstanden auch die hier befindlichen und teilweise noch erkennbaren Prall- und flachereren Gleithänge.
Als Zeichen der eiszeitlichen Gewalt und der unterschiedlichen Sand- und Lehmgehälter sind so die unterschiedlich steilen Gefälle entstanden.
Diese bilden an der oberen Hangkante ein Gefälle von 5°-15° und in den darunter liegenden sandigen weichseleiszeitlichen Grundmoräne bis zu 20°-30°.
Durch die unterlagerten harten saaleeiszeitliche Schmelzwassersande bildet sich dabei eine wellige Oberfläche und einzelne dünne Sandlagen.
Der kompakte lehmige Geschiebelmergelabschnitt bildet so heute ein sehenswertes Beispiel eines späteiszeitlichen Kliffs.

2.) Wie lautet die unterste Markierung des Holzbrettes (A2 = Holzbrett & Foto). siehe auch Foto
3.) Ein typischer Baum im Lindetal ist die Traubeneiche. Wie alt kann sie werden? (A3 = Info-Tafel 1)

The Lindetal offers a view of the delightful environment of New Brandenburg created by the ice age.
The erosion forms of the Lindetal shows that last advance of a glacier no more "overruns" it.

The compact loamy glacial drift section forms so today an example worth seeing of an lateice-age cliff.
