Biserica Millenium
Aceasta biserica romano-catolica, aflata in cartierul Fabric, in imediata apropiere a Pietei Traian, a fost construita pentru marcarea implinirii unui mileniu de la stabilirea maghiarilor in Campia Panoniei. A fost construita in stil neoroman, dupa proiectul arhitectului Lajos Ybl. Pe 13 octombrie 1901, dupa 5 ani de la punerea pietrei de temelie, a fost sfintita de episcopul Sandor Dessewffy. La constructie s-au folosit aproximativ 4 milioane de caramizi. Cele doua turnuri masoara 65,7 m inaltime, cupola centrala avand 45 m inaltime. Capacitatea este de pana la 3.000 persoane. Marele clopot are o greutate de 2.420 kg. Biserica are o orga fabricata de mesterul Leopold Wegenstein si donata de episcopul Sandor Dessewffy. De curand, orga a fost restaurata.
Millenium Church
The Millennium Church Roman Catholic Church, located in Fabric district, near the Market Traian, was built to mark a millennium celebrating the establishment of Hungarians in the Pannonian Plain. It was built in neo-style, by architect Lajos Ybl. On October 13, 1901, after 5 years from the foundation stone was blessed by Bishop Sandor Dessewffy. Were used to build about 4 million bricks.The two towers measuring 65.7 m high, with central dome 45 meters high. Capacity is up to 3000 people. Great bell weighs 2420 kilograms. The church is made by master organ donated by Bishop Leopold Wegenstein and Sandor Dessewffy. Recently, the organ was restored.
