This cache is located on privately owned property with the permission of the owner.
Back in the early 1900’s the grandfather of the current owners and some friends wanted a place to meet and enjoy the country life. They built a small clubhouse and dammed the local stream to form a swimming area. The dam was breached in the 50’s when there was concern about polio spreading in swimming areas. The house was then rented to several families. After the last family left the house was destroyed by fire. Relics from the past surround the area. Please respect the site and leave it as you found it for others to enjoy. You only need to move a small rock.
The cache was moved a few feet and is now a small pill container. 5/19/15
