Geocache Description:

The cache is placed here with the kind permission of the forestry commission.

The cache is in a small micro top container in a disguised container, you will need a pen to sign.

The cache is named Mary, Mungo & Midge after the old, childrens t.v. programme.

Mary, Mungo & Midge featured Mary, a young girl who lived with her dog Mungo and a cheeky mouse called Midge in a modern tower block in a busy new town. Mary was a latch key kid, seemingly on her own in that flat all day with only the animals for company. Mungo was a rather pompous dog, regularly driven to distraction by Midge, who liked to play the flute (Three Blind Mice usually) and generally make a nuisance of himself. Stories were gentle, cosy themes told at a careful pace with the soothing tones of BBC newsreader Richard Baker narrating events and voicing the animals. John Ryan's wife Isabel provided the voice of Mary. Like other series of the period there were only ever 13 episodes of this memorable production but constant repeats on the BBC have persuaded many to remember more.
