This is a Simple Cache that brings you to the heart of our village, It is a lovey place to start a long Sunday walk and even plan to dip into other local caches that aren't to far away.
Without giving too much away The Cache isn't positioned at ground level and you will need to be taller than 4' to reach it
The village pond, which is the source of the River Snail is fed by ground water that is pumped all the way from Snailwell Junction by the British Horse Racing School. The Snail plays great importantace in ensureing that the peatland area of the Chippenham Fen NNR continues to provide a suitible habitat for a number of endangered species of Fauna and Flora. The idea for the cache comes back to our dog, Solo, who goes mad when we walk her past the pond and the spout is belching out water into the pond. The cache won't get you wet unless your are increadible clumsy or unfortunate.
As for the village Church "St Peters" it dates from around 11th Century. In the churchyard beside the south porch there lies a 13th-century coffin, said to be of Templar origin. (for all the Holy Grail hunters out there) Best of Luck
Please Enjoy our Cache and also please respect the village and clean up after you and your dogs
