The cache site is located with easy parking, along a public footpath on the outskirts of Aspley Guise village. Aspley Guise was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086 and although situated just outside the new city of Milton Keynes and close to the M1 motorway it has managed to retain its rural feel. The footpath where the cache is located takes you on a nice countryside walk between between the villages of Husborne Crawley, past Birchmoor Farm, the old manor-house of the Stauntons in the 17th century, to Woburn.
Most of the surrounding land is owned by the Bedford Estate, ancestral home to the Dukes of Bedford. One of the entrances to the Woburn Park, Woburn Abbey and Wild Animal Kingdon is situated close to the cache site, at the end of Horspool Lane.
Watch out for stinging nettles in summer! The only other disturbance to your cache walk might be the occasional dog walker or horse rider so please take care not to draw attention to the cache site.
