Geocache Description:

What is Cache to Eagle? Cache to Eagle is a series of public geocaches hidden at or near the sites of Boy Scout Eagle projects.

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete a project that requires countless hours of planning, dedicated leadership, and a commitment to our community.

This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called Cache to Eagle, that showcases these special contributions.

This is cache #4 of our series. Caled Poulson from Troop 212 in Chesapeake led a service project at the VFW Post. For his project, Caleb built a memorial garden paying tribute to all military men and women who gave all in the fight for freedom. While searching for the cache, take time to read all about the many wars and lives lost.

This cache hide is meant for beginners. It is here to highlight Scouting's commitment to service and the Eagle project.

The cache is a nano and contains a log only. You will need to bring your own writing utensil. Parking is across the street, so hold on to those mini cachers, the road can get busy.

A scout is brave.
