Land of Opportunity Traditional Cache

StarryEyeGuy: Sadly, it looks as if I'll have to archive this one. I don't know what's going on, but they've removed all the trees and shrubbery around Dutch's resting place. They've also removed the A/C unit, leaving two big holes for the squirrels and birds to get inside. The door to the place was also ajar, but I didn't venture inside. I scouted around for any sign of the cache container, but it is gone.

It looks as if they may be getting ready to move the place...so ol' Dutch may become a victim of his own success. If they do move it I'll re-establish the cache at the new location, provided it's as accessible as it was here.

Geocache Description:

A very easy cache-'n-dash at a very unusual location. Original contents: Log/pencil Liberty Call TB One Way Ride TB LED flashlight key ring Digital pedometer NASA key/ID "leash" Various pins and SWAG.

Yesterday we were walking Louis the Cachehund in the "Eisenhower Valley" area of Alexandria. As we were headed home I said to Mrs. SEG "Would you mind indulging me for a few minutes?" This question typically brings a look of resigned acceptance, followed by "How long will this take?" I told her that she may actually find this location interesting, and I was right. She said afterward "You were right, that is something very unusual!"

If Mrs. SEG found it interesting, I think you will too. A little history lesson is in order here (it wouldn't be an SEG cache without one, right?), and you can find it on Waymarking.com, code WM2T0E. The container should have room for smallish trackables and a fair amount of SWAG. You should be able to make the grab in relative stealth during the daylight hours. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT AFTER DARK!
