This hide is on the top of Bear Mountain @ 1583 feet and also on public land.There are a few ways to get to the cache.All are up,all have rocks.Wear sturdy shoes.There are open mine breach holes in the area,there is NO NEED to go near them.They are cabled off.Stay away.The first three miles or so are on a well marked Bear Valley road,the last few hundred feet will be an elevation climb of approximately +/- 325 feet.
This two part multi was placed to replace my other cache I placed here GC171BB on10-28-2007 at a very large outcropping of rocks known as Adams Rock.That cache had a good run until it was unbelievably muggled with only a few cachers taking advantage of the hike and the solitude this area has to offer.By placing this multi I feel pretty confidant it will not get muggled as you will see.The first part is a metal tag with the numbers embossed on it attached to a small chain loosely wrapped around the middle of three small trees for the AMMO CAN final.DO NOT REMOVE THE CHAIN ! !When I placed the final I had a hard time to tune in the numbers,PLEASE use the hint,S/W side of V W rock when you arrive at GZ for the final just to be shur.The numbers are posted below for the trail you need to use from the Bear Valley road,use them.This area is open to the public and hunting.During hunting season YOU MUST WEAR AN ORANGE HAT AND VEST.Be careful and with this cache and all others You Must Have Fun!!
