Cedars IV is a new addition to a series of caches that share a common theme – and section – of the Canfield/Meadow Woods Preserve in Essex and Deep River. Unlike the previously hidden caches that are match stick containers, this one is a small lock-n-lock container with small trade items.
You can access this cache by parking at the trail head off Book Hill Woods Road, Essex, or CT Rt 154, Deep River. The cache is located along a section of the black trail. I rated the terrain as 1.5 which is accurate if you enter from the Book Hill side. It's more like a 2 or 2.5 from the Deep River side as there as several longish uphills and you have farther to go.
