Beneath Great Coum in the North West Yorkshire Dales is a very
beautiful waterfall (one of many in the area) with great views
along the Gastack Beck valley to Deepdale. It's a fine spot for a
brew and some sandwiches on a good day. There's easy access from a
nearby track (waypoint coordinates given below) but be careful in
foggy weather (and with children/animals - NOT recommended) as the
descent is steep in places as you approach the base of a large
waterfall drop (see photo). As always there's an awesome 'First to
Find' medal for one lucky cacher.
And there's more
.......
If you liked this cache there are many
more
'Sykesfamily' caches in similar,
awe inspiring locations scattered around the Yorkshire Dales
National Park and surrounding valleys. So grab your walking boot,
pack your sandwiches, leave your troubles behind and head for the
hills .... Enjoy!!
