Whether you want to soak up some rays, or build sand castles,
the beaches of Port Aransas in Texas are among the best gulf coast
beaches anywhere to do that. Combine that with a few hundred unique
geocaches on the island to find with the company of several other
geocachers, and the weekend cannot be beat!
That isn't it though. Beach parties are not complete without a
host of games and prizes! Let me just highlight some of the fun we
will have:
- Limbo Contest: How low can you go?!
- Cache Toss: Whoever tosses the beanbag into the ammo can
wins the ammo can!
- Sandcastle Competition: Groups will get together to form
sandcastles and compete for bragging rights, and maybe more!
- Dress Like a Pirate, Win Some Swag: If you dress like a
pirate, and the crowd likes you the most, you get a prize!
- Buried Treasure: There will be buried treasure! Clues
will be given out in order to find the treasure. You find it, you
keep it!
There is more! Come to the beach bash, bring your tent, and camp
out with us! We will have dinner and breakfast on the beach, and e
nd the beach bash with a CITO the next day! If you do not show up,
you will be missing a lot! There are going to be 5 events to claim
smileys at!
We will have the site available as early as 10:00am April 30th,
if you want to come out early. Frisbee, kites, metal detecting,
football, swimming, fishing, kayaking, biking, beach combing, and
of course geocaching will be going on all day with announcements
and dinner starting around 4:00pm May 1st.
