The cache IS at the
posted coordinates.
Please read the description below for
logging requirements.
April 5, 2010 marks my 100th continuous day of geocaching. This
challenge turned out to be a little easier for me, since I started
my streak the day I bought my GPSr. Some other geocachers I know
who have completed this challenge have driven many miles each day
to find a new cache. I still have a couple hundred within a 10 mile
radius of my house.
The Challenge:
To log a “Found it” for this cache in addition to
finding the cache and signing the logbook you must have:
Found at least one cache each day for one
hundred consecutive days. All cache types qualify as
finds. Please no "armchair virtuals" or finds that you logged on a
different day than you found the cache or traveled to the physical
location of a virtual.
Demonstrate this logging requirement any way you see fit;
reference your profile, text in the log, attach an image, create a
Bookmark list, etc.
In your log tell us the stories of the craziest things you did
to keep your continuous day streak alive. How far did you have to
travel? How close did you come to missing a day? What kind of crazy
weather did you have to brave?
The Cache:
The cache is an ammo box hidden just off the horseshoe trail.
Plan for a hike of approximately 2 miles round trip with a 600'
gain in elevation. The horseshoe trail runs through various state
games lands. Remember to wear ORANGE during hunting season!
Best parking is available at the trailhead. There is also ample
state games lands parking just a few hundred feet west on 322.
Enjoy the views north and south along the ridge and plan some
extra time to find some of the other great caches in the area!
Cache is well stocked with swag and an unactivated geocoin
for First to Find! I have also placed 5 York County pathtags
for the first 5 to find.
Optional Additional
Challenge:
NOTE: Completing this optional additional challenge is
NOT a requirement to sign the log. You may sign the log at any time
provided you have completed the required 100 consecutive days with
a find PRIOR to signing the log. This optional additional challenge
is meant to encourage geocachers who have not yet completed the
challenge to begin. DO NOT sign the log twice.
In order to meet the additional challenge requirements your 100
continuous day streak must begin on or after April 5, 2010.
A second unactivated geocoin will be awarded to the first
geocacher to complete this additional challenge. This coin will not
be placed in the cache until July 13, 2010.
If you already have a continuous day streak of 100+ days with
find you get to decide... do I find the cache now or wait for
another 100 consecutive days???
GOOD LUCK!
