This cache is located above the "H" on Lookout Mountain. The "H" which represents Black Hills State University. The school hired three students to construct it in 1956. They used handcarts to get the concrete to the top of the Lookout Mountain. Freshmen used to whitewash it, sliding around it with their bodies, as a Swarm Day activity. But in the 1970s they used the wrong kind of lime and over 100 students received chemical burns. That stopped the whitewashing.
You will have to cross a fence but you will still be on Spearfish Parks and Recreation property.
The cache is a small lock-n-lock type container and has room for small tradable items.
