auyantepuy: [font=arial] [size=4] [red] We had a good run, but FLP decided to closed the access to the main RD (NW 147 Ave) and now we have no legal way to get to these caches [V].

Thanks to all that took the time tom come and find this trail and its caches, we will do our best to find a new location for a similar adventure in the near future [^] [/red][/size]

Geocache Description:

The island of akuAL

Yes it is a micro cache, but well worthy of caching. It is not your regular parking lot micro for this one you will have to take a 6.8mile drive from NW 41st and 147 Ave.

This micro will offer you a nice bumpy ride through a dirt road; great for site seeing, nature will show you its beauty right from the comfortable sit of your vehicle, and all the wonderful stuff that the Everglades have to offer you.

So take your cam with a big 300mm lense or more and enjoy the ride, this is also a great cache to hunt on your mountain bike or ATV.

Once you get to the cache, you will have fun trying to get to akuAL, my recommendation will be to jump it will make it more fun, and in order to make your search easier I will recommend you to find the meaning of the Mayan word akuAL.

So have fun, good hunt but most of all enjoy this great site seeing road.

Note: The only way that I know to get to this cache is from NW 41st, don’t try Okeechobee rd since there is a fence blocking the way.

BRING YOUR OWN PEN!!!!!!!!

Please be very careful to fold back the log sheet the same way you find it in order for the container to closed back the right way
