On May 1, 2000, President Bill Clinton announced that the United
States would stop the intentional degradation of the Global
Positioning System, better known as selective availability. The
next day at approximately midnight, twenty-four satellites around
the globe processed their new orders, and instantly the accuracy of
GPS technology improved tenfold. Tens of thousands of GPS receivers
around the world had an instant upgrade and the road was paved for
Geocaching. 10 years later, there are over a million active
geocaches worldwide!

Tom, "Well, I'll call them and figure something out!"
Here we are; the Sumner/Bonney Lake/Buckley area now has a 10
year celebration event! Over the last year + we have met many of
the area cachers separately and in packs. What a fun part of this
great game we have come to love! So why not celebrate a major
milestone with a meet and greet?
So here are some specifics:
When: Sunday May 2nd 4-7PM
Where: Aversano's 6015 Parker Rd. E. Sumner, WA 98390
Who: You! and Us!
We have reserved the back room which holds up to 60 people
according to the restaurant. Any overflow may be able to get seats
in the main part of the restaurant. There will be a buffet provided
by Aversano's to include many popular dishes like lasagna, pizza,
and salad. Non-alcoholic drinks are also included. Adults will be
$12.95 and children will be $7.95. Small children will be able to
eat at no charge according to the restaurant. Please include a
count of how many will be in your party so we can give the venue an
idea of how many to expect for the buffet.
There will be an opportunity for trackable item swapping so
bring what you have to trade or discover!

We can't wait to see you all there! (It's a 5/2 on 5/2!) There
will be a photo taken of the attendees around 6 PM. Please wear
your best caching gear.
