Geocache Description:

This is a small container and you will have to bring a writing tool. Contains a log and some small swag.

While out tracking down a multi I ran across a close relative to the Xerus inauris which lead me to the present location of this cache. Hoping that the critter would be cooperative he took the high road and of coarse I keep to the lower one. Although he tried to lure me to new heights. I stuck to where I was and he went on his way but not until he told me about his distant cousin.

First he told me of how his cousin likes to hoard things in lower lying places and just adores things of the color green. Even though he himself was gray in color. He did have some objection to the placement in this group of trees centered on one stump for it poses a problem if one dies then all might die but then these are hardy hardwoods and seldom drop off like the chunk which is left behind here.

The stash is somewhat smaller than himself he expressed as his cousin stretches some 11 inch long and this only half that in length but then. Oh yes, this does not have any strips on it either like the Xerus himself but does have a liking to the surroundings like the grasses, roots, shrubs, fruits, seeds and a good place to hide that like in the leaves of this tree as this cache is....

Hope you get to talk with the cousin as you search for the stash.... He might tell you more about the hole in the tree....

Happy caching,
