Junior Rangers of Kissena Park Traditional Cache
TheReal TeamTownsend: I changed this cache placement because the original was muggled and with the summer brush cover it was easy to find a better and new spot.
Could not figure out how to change the coordinates so i created a new cache entirely.

This is a Camouflage zip lock container hidden near the old Nature Center in Kissena Park. The cache will only come out and go in one way remember how you removed it. This is our first cache and we look forward to ideas and comments.
TO SEAL THE CONTAINER PUSH THE CENTER OF THE LID DOWN IT WILL SEAL IT BY VACUUM .
When I was growing up in the 80's most of my time was spent in Kissena Park. Back then the Parks Dept. was trying to revamp the park with exercise trails and also nature trails. The Nature Center was the head quarters for the Park rangers that ran the Nature Center and Those of us who were Junior Rangers. The inside of the nature center hosted an assortment of fish and turtles that could be found in the lake as well as some stuffed mammals native to the area. There was a display to show how glaciers formed this part of the North East as well as fossils. IT was great for the youth and budget cuts and less Park rangers caused it to close down for good.
Some of the nature trails still exist and there is great hiking throughout the park. I encourage you to check this treasure of a park out with your family.
There is a Log, a pen, some toys, guitar pics, baseball card, a free drink token for McCanns.
