Come out and join the IE chapter of the WSGA while we clean up the Dishman Hills

This year, the Chapter will be meeting up with a number of groups from Spokane to work in the Dishman Hills area. We will be working with Dishman Hills Natural Area Association, Spokane Mountaineers, Spokane County Parks, Washington Trails Association, Spokane County Conservative District, Inland Northwest Trails Coalition, and Inner City Outings to clean up the natural area as well as possibly do some tree planting, signage and trail work, etc.

How To Get There

First and foremost, you can take the bus. Route 90 drops off right by Camp Caro. Reduce your footprint! Take the bus!

Otherwise, due to cramped parking (less than 50ish spaces!), please consider carpooling or bussing!!!!

Camp Caro is 2.6 miles east of Havana, south on Sargent at east 8700 block on east Sprague/behind Appleway Chevrolet.

What To Bring

Please bring your own heavy work gloves!! While we have some, they are not the greatest. You'll be happier if you bring your own.
Please bring water for yourself and PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS to help transport the new seedlings that will be going in. And, as always, sunglasses, sunblock, appropriate clothing and a sense of humor!

Tentative Schedule

8:30-8:45 - Arrive and get setup / registered. Check in and meet at the WSGA IE Chapter banner.

09:00 - 12:00 - CITO event including (but not limited to...) trash pick up, homeless camp clean up, tree planting, etc.

More info will be coming! Bookmark the page and keep checking!

We will need GROUP LEADERS for groups of approximately 5-10 cachers for each activity. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer either here or the day of the event. Thanks!
