Geocache Description:

I found an old homestead site near the horseman's camp in the Deam Wilderness. I enjoyed playing amateur archaeologist and I thought others might enjoy it too.

I was on my way to Sarah Patton's well today to place a cache there. That valley is one of my favorite places. I can see why the Patton's settled there. On my way there I came across an old homestead and I just had to leave the cache there. The hidden valleys in this forest are just awesome. The babbling brooks and the singing cavorting animals make for an atmosphere that puts Disney to shame.
I often get complaints that my caches are too far out in the woods. I love hiking in the deep woods off of the beaten paths so I design my hides for those who also enjoy this type of hiking. The park an grab folks have plenty of caches so someone has to take care of the "off trail out yonder way cachers". If you are someone who likes that kind of cache this Buds for you. Just try giving up on the patented postcard trail scenery once and go discover some unique scenery of your own. This area has an abundance of awesome beauty that no one sees.

Big Congrats to Jebar on the FTF! I bet you mark that car waypoint next time.
