10th anniversary of Geocaching picnic!!
Wow...10 years. So much has changed in the 10 years that Geocaching has began. It's truly became a worldwide activity. I know many of us can recall our first cache, our favorite cache, our most frustrating cache, the smiles and the chiggers, the long walks in the woods and the skirts we've lifted.
Even more than that most of us remember the people we've met along the way, the friends we've made and the memorable experiences we've had with them.
May 3rd is the 10th anniversary of Geocaching. Since that's on a Monday, we're going to celebrate a day early. Please join us at Washington Township Park in Avon, Indiana, at 1 PM, for a picnic/pitch in to celebrate 10 years of fun!!
Please post in your log what you'll be bringing for the picnic. We'll be giving out several door prizes for this event, including:
1)The cacher who has been caching the longest.
2)Cache owner with the oldest active cache
3)Cacher with the most finds
4)Cacher who has cached the farthest away from Indiana
5)The newest cacher.
There'll be some random prizes given out, also, and maybe even a contest or two.
Washington Park is giving us the use of the shelter free in exchange for the CITO event that is being held in conjunction with this event. You can attend either one, or both, events.
Also, you'll get a special "10 Years of Geocaching" event icon for your profile for attending!
