Grasslands Community Trail: Lower Trailhead

The cache marks the lower trailhead area for the Grasslands Community Trail that runs from McQueen and Griffin lakes to the top of Ida Lane in Westsyde. Thirteen caches are spread out along the roughly 14 km route. For information about the trail and for maps, see the description for the Grasslands Community Trail: Upper Trailhead cache (GC255CV).
To access this cache from the lower trailhead or to start the long uphill hike to Griffin and McQueen lakes, park by the black metal arch in the new development above Ida Lane (N 50 47.096, W 120 20.539). The cache container is a camo'd lock n' lock.
**Update: The strata for the new development at the top of Ida Lane has ungraciously blocked vehicle access to the trailhead, so you will have to park along the old Ida Lane or at Coopers and walk the extra distance to the black metal gate.**
