Geocache Description:

Have you ever been on a car rally? This cache is an 18-part rally extravaganza that takes you on a tour of a historical road in London, Dorchester, and Ingersoll. It's not really that hard, as you can find the clues for the first 18 stages without even getting out of your car! Well, maybe once or twice...

Hamilton Road connects London to Hamilton; at least it used to in the olden days before Highway 2, 401, 403, and all the rest. Now there's only a section of the old road still designated Hamilton Road, that extends from Bathurst St. in London to the town limits of Ingersoll. Hope you enjoy your tour of Hamilton Road!

Here's how it works: Starting at the listed coordinates, commence your journey in the direction that the flashing light faces. Proceed in a generally (but often windy) easterly direction for the next 25 km or so, finding numerical clues along the way. At the end, I'll tell you what to do with all the numbers you've found.

1. N 42o58.947, W 081o13.896: In what year did Danny start brewing? _________

2. N 42o58.825, W 081o12.987: At what street number are the two lions? _________

3. N 42o58.770, W 081o12.376: The last 4 digits of the King of Pigs. _________

4. N 42o58.665, W 081o11.686: Petro-Canada's (formerly Sunoco's) street number. _______

5. N 42o58.146, W 081o09.029: White's Bridge has crossed the Thames River here since _______.

6. N 42o57.829, W 081o08.376: How fast is the ramp speed? _______

7. N 42o58.278, W 081o06.839: Distance to Westchester? _______

8. N 42o58.960, W 081o05.333: Nav Canada NDB U# = ________

9. N 42o59.314, W 081o03.690: How much is the "New" Maximum tonnage of the heaviest truck allowed? _______

10. N 42o59.151, W 081o02.997: When did Harold Dundas put the bell here? _______

11. N 42o58.751, W 081o01.847: The year Royal built Bel's fence: _______

12. N 42o58.741, W 081o01.263: Look on the north box; what is the bar code number? _______

13. N 42o58.607, W 080o59.333: Look for "NRG"; what are the first three digits? _______

14. N 42o59.410, W 080o57.242: What is the Middlesex County Road No.? _______

15. N 43o00.188, W 080o56.434: How many people live in Middlesex? _______

16. N 43o00.526, W 080o56.126: What are the last 4 digits of the site phone number at Ross Pit? _______

17. N 43o01.057, W 080o55.540: Meatheral Number = _______

Now, pause at Meatheral to figure out where the final cache is.
Take the third smallest number, subtract it from the fourth largest number, then subtract 44. Now divide by 10 and you get a three-digit number ABC. The north coordinates of the final are N 43o01.ABC.
Take the four numbers that were years, find the most recent year. Subtract 1500 and you get a three-digit number DEF. The west coordinates of the final are W 080o54.DEF.
The cache is small, but not too hard to find. Park on the north side of the road, and be stealthy if there are passersby or neighbours watching!

Congratulations to brendah for scoring the FTF.
