Submariners View from the top of Rhu. Stunning views of the Clyde, Greenock, Rhu Spit, Rosneath and out to Arran and the Irish sea on a clear day.
Start:
Park your car on Lineside Walk or Smugglers Way to avoid a longer uphill walk. The total walk is approximately 3/4 mile with an altitude of 500ft. Some walkers might find this hard work. In poor weather the ground could be soggy.
Take the Footpath that starts under the railway bridge and negotiate the style. Head up the path following it around to where the horse stable in on your left. Turn right on the path and head uphill until you reach open field and eventually a small dam (via the metal gate). Take the path around the small dam to the northern east corner. Take a look back at the view of the Clyde River out to the Irish sea. Your close now!!!
