Originally this was a WW2 Ammo can that had fallen from an Army supply 6 X 6 truck, back in the day. Now because of a thief the old can has been replaced by a less expensive plastic snap top container. The cache had bounced and rolled till it came to rest between a rock and a rock and a rock, and there it stays waiting to hand out smilies to you.
All these years this cache has been waiting for someone to come and retrieve its contents. He knows he has been here too long to be repatriated but he believes that he can best serve and full-fill his duty be hosting a TB/Geocoin hotel or SWAG swap shop. Watch for muggles as they travel very rapidly in this area but you should be fine if you park on the dirt road near the site. Please, make sure you cover him as well as before as too many of these old veterans are disappearing lately.
