Abandoned Town CACHE
This cache is located in the North West area of Qatar. It is an amazing place that seems to have been lost by time. Why is it here? What is the history of this place? It gives quite an eerie feeling when driving around. Ask the gatekeeper and enjoy the area. It is an interesting area from a general landscape point of view as well and worth a visit. Although a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, a soft roader SUV-type [or even a sedan] will do if you take it easy and follow the road from the given waypoint called "Turn Off". It can be done with a number of other caches in the area, but then a 4x4 would be the recommended form of transport.
During the winter months you will find many interesting plants and colour in this area. It is not a popular area at all and you might not see anybody else while done here. Some of the beaches in the area are really beautiful and very quiet. I sincerely hope that you enjoy all the other caches in the area while you are here.
Please remember to take all the necessary precautions when driving around in Qatar. Always have plenty of food and water with you whenever you go out.
