Your host will be Bernie for the event and I hope that you will be
able to attend and celebrate 10 years of Geocaching.
We need a minimum of 10 people which should not be any trouble
given our great attendances of the monthly meets!
The meet will be from 12.00 midday until 14.00 hrs, some may
wish to stay longer!
The usual activities will be available to discover TB's and
Coins and to help these move on. The Red Ammo box will be making an
appearance, courtesy of Explorer olway! However, it is always great
to meet and talk "Geocaching" in good company on such a special day
in the history of Geocaching.
Here are the details about the requirements to get the
special icon once we have attended.
Additional Guidelines:
Events must be held on May 1 or May 2, 2010
At least 10 people must attend the event.
Flashmobs do not qualify.
A video or picture must be taken at the event. At least 10
attendees must be in the video/photo along with a legible sign
showing the event coordinates and location name.
The people in the video or photo should be festive. Be inventive!
But please keep it family friendly.
I will have the camera, the sign and I think it will be party
banner for those in the picture holding the cake with a 10 on it.
(I will supply these!)
Check out the bookmark lists here - See how the event is
growing! You cannot afford to miss this as it is
your only chance to get a special Icon.
I have secured the upsatairs area and will be getting there
early to bag some tables.
There will be a free prize for each of the first 10 caching
teams to sign the log book, so don't be late!.
Everybody welcome! Come and
have some fun...
Can you please indicate if you will be
eating in your notes so that I can let the Mill know roughly how
many will require food. No need to pre order anything.
There will be a new cache published on the 1st May to coincide
with this event. Also, come prepared for an afternoon walk with
suitable footwear as there WILL be a new series published on
the day. Hope the weather is fine because there are going to be a
lot of us and we may have to spread out into the Garden area. All
the prep has been done now, so I look forward to seeing you there.
Don't forget you will have to be festive for the photo!
The first 10 to sign the log book were
Cee-Jay
Claire1978
Rolfeclan
Mario McTavish
DeeDee27 and Ellie
Bagsyclan
Thekennelat79
The Harvesters
The Threlkeld Family
Little Miss Speedy
Of the 33 events around the UK, it looks like that we were the
third largest turnout. Stratford Upon Avon are clearly the largest
with 86 teams attending followed by Wales with 60. All our logs are
now in and we had 58 teams. Fantastic!!
