A nice micro cache in a nice Union Twp Park.
The Metallic Acorn
This micro sized cache is located in Veterans memorial park. The hide is along the walking trail, so you will not have to cross the grass, or get your shoes dirty. The title is a hint as to what the cache looks like and may even be hidden. Just remember, there is more than one kind of acorn. The cache is a micro and the logbook is also very small. There are no writing utensils, so please bring your own.
CAUTION… This park gets very BUSY on weekends and nice sunny weekdays after school. So please be considerate of other users of the trail. Some stealth may be required. But if anyone asks what you are doing, please be honest and explain to them about geocaching. The best times to visit are weekday mornings or during inclement weather. Even then there are still people walking or running the trail.
Please take time to enjoy this very nice park. There is a nice playground for kids, a pond with fish, and of course the memorial. Best of all, there is another cache located there.
