Jumbo Jaunt Traditional Cache

This cache in on the Mt. Jumbo saddle trail, one of my favorite hikes in the immediate Missoula area. The container is about 1.2 miles from the trail head at approximately 4400 feet elevation. The elevation gain from trail head to the hiding spot is roughly 700 feet.
The cache is a camo painted lock n lock, roughly 4x6". It's not too far off the trail, but there is a little cover in the immediate vicinity to hide what you're up to.
This is one of my favorite spots to stop for a breather on the way up; the views are wonderful, and its fun to look down on all the cool spots that I've cached in the vicinity. If you make it this far, I highly recommend that you continue on up the mountain for the cache at the top--the views from there are spectacular 360 degree panoramas of the Missoula valley and beyond. This is also a great hike for birds, wildlife, and wild flowers. I always see something cool on this hike, be it a badger, a lazuli bunting, or a Wyoming kittentail!
Also, this area is closed Dec to March, so this cache will not be available all year around.
