Geocache Description:

It's the 10 years thing! Yes Geocaching has been done for 10 years!

HK joins in the Celebration!

Come and join the first ever HK hosted event for a "special" photoshoot! Share your stories and discover new ones from around this region; and get to meet the masterminds for clues and ideas.

Date: 1 May 2010
Time: 10am
Cost: FREE
Click "Log you RSVP" with "Will Attend" .

Feel free to bring your indulgencesfood and beverages and we'll enjoy a nice time on a roof top garden enjoying scenic Hong Kong. Trackables are most welcome for routing...

We'll hang around and have a great photoshoot around 10:30am. Then you'll be among the first few to rush for FTF in a few new hides nearby.

Why May?

On May 2, 2000, at approximately midnight (eastern time), 24 satellites around the globe processed their new orders and instantly the accuracy of GPS technology improved 10-fold. Tens of thousands of GPS receivers around the world had an instant upgrade.

On May 3rd Dave Ulmer placed a black bucket in the woods near Beaver Creek, OR. Along with a logbook & pencil, he left various prize items (swag?). He shared the waypoint of his "stash" with the online community.

This was the first geocache on EARTH.
