The Taranaki Region was home to the filming of the movie The
Last Samurai. Much of the filming was centred on the hillsides of
the Uruti Valley.
Please take care when searching for the cache. Keep your eyes
and ears open.
This is not a driveby, please park
safely nearby and walk to the cache.
Limited parking and turning space is available near the
cache.
Best approach is via the Uruti turnoff on the main highway, a
tarsealed route through a very scenic area.
