Geocache Description:

This cache is another one in our series to celebrate 10 Years of Geocaching!

On May 2nd, 2010 we hosted a 10 Years! breakfast event in Durham Region and wanted to place ten caches at the same time as a way to give back to the sport that we enjoy so much. The caches in the series differ in difficulty, size and creativeness so we hope there will be one to appeal to all tastes. Some (but not all) of the titles may also provide you with a vague hint that may only be apparent after you find the cache. But not to worry, the Hint we have included will definitely point you in the right direction if you are feeling confused so don't read it unless you want the location spoiled for you.

This cache is placed in one of our favourite Conservation Areas in east Durham: Thurne Valleylands. There is a small parking lot at the entrance and we have provided the coordinates in the Additional Waypoints section for your convenience. Please note that we have yet to visit this area when the gate to the parking lot is open. So you may need to pull off the road and park in front of the gate (there is room for a few cars to safely do this). This container is large enough for trade items and a few travellers.

These caches were placed in very early spring (after a mild winter) so whether they are snow friendly remains to be seen. For this particular one, we are sure a bit of bushwacking will be required as the summer undergrowth takes over.

Please return the cache to the same location and notify us if there appears to be anything amiss. We hope you enjoy the adventure!
