Geocache Description:

Typical SMR type cache placement.

I only drove an Audi TT (Twin Turbo) once...at Loudon. I was in Concord for my 25th law school reunion and had never seen the track so I drove over. In the parking lot, they were running a obstacle course around pylons. I walked up and a gentleman asked me which dealer I was with. I said "Thompson VW Audi of Waterville Maine" and the guy asked if I was interested in running the course. Yes, sir.

Well yours truly has raced stock cars and also done the State Police EVOC course when I was a guest instructor at the academy so I figured I could make a decent showing. Turns out the top ten times were to get a couple of laps around the road course at Loudon!

So I managed a great time, actually the best of the day and was helped into an Audi TT complete with roll cage, six point harness....yeah BABY! Having raced I was in the harness in a blink, something the instructor was "curious" about.

Anyway, when the road course finally came back onto the track in the back stretch, I had almost 3 quarters of the track to see what the Audi would do...about 145 MPH actually which would have been fine if I had followed the instructions to come back off the track just before entering turn 1. That didn't happen, not at the pace I was going and I plowed through a bunch of pylons and then turned into the infield at the end of turn 2 after I got the thing slowed down. After a few "leading" questions about why I drove about 30 MPH faster then anybody else, I did confess to having a little racing experience but they never did ask what my affiliation was with the dealer. ( The correct answer would have been "my dad's golfiing buddy!")

Cache has a log only so BYOP.

Congrats to Team LSD for the FTF!
