A traditional cache beside the Camel Trail
The Camel Trail is an 18 mile traffic free, smooth-surfaced and virtually level cycle way. Following the disused railway line once used by the London and South West Railway, it hugs the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge before joining the route through the deeply incised and beautifully wooded Camel Valley to Bodmin. At Bodmin yet another line, one of the most historic in the country, winds its way inland to the foot of Bodmin Moor where it comes to Wenfordbridge close to the pretty moorland village of Blisland.
This is one of a series of caches we have placed in the upper section between Bodmin and Wenfordbridge. Just over 6.5 miles each way, though there are plenty of free parking options along the route if you are on foot. You can hire bikes in Bodmin, Wadebridge or Padstow. Check-out the other excellent caches you will find on the trail and nearby to boost the tally. This is the quietest section of the trail though no less attractive and can get busy in Summer and at weekends.
A clip-lock box containing swaps. No need to go where you shouldn't. New TB dog-tag for FTF.
